Anyone can create a website, but the question is whether or not one can actually seed the website to potential buyers or viewers. In the old days, the number of websites on the internet was limited significantly, and with that being the case, being seen was not really an issue. Things have changed however, and it is much more important to ensure that you have your website indexed in some of the more popular search engines.
In search engine submission there are two different methods that an individual might use. First of all, they could try submitting one web page at a time for indexing, or they could simply use a sitemap to submit their entire site at once. In truth however, a webmaster only needs to submit the first page of their website as a search engine will be able to crawl the relevant links.
Submitting the web page oftentimes is not enough and the owner will need to make sure that the site in question is properly keyworded. Keywords are terms that a user will search for and specialized keywords will provide much better results, as you probably know by this point.
On the modern internet, it has become a moot point for web administrators to actually submit their sites to search engines simple because they can expect web crawlers to identify and add their website automatically. It is still important to keyword, and with automated search engine submission, but as you can see, quite a bit of the stress has been removed. Search engine submission is important, and utilizing it properly will give you plenty of traffic.
